We are so excited to announce that Kylia and Matt are expecting a baby in August! We think we see a little baby bump starting to show, so it's time to get ready!
I've been authorized at last to Start Shopping, so Kylia and I chose some gender neutral newborn clothes. (They won't know for 6 more weeks if it's a boy or girl- or might wait to be surprised.) This morning I researched modern names for Grandma, safety tips for choosing a crib, and quickly scanned high chair options.
For now we think our grandparent names will be Papa Gene (Ivan's middle name is Eugene) and Gigi Jan. Baby Garver may have an adaptation or two to our plans, though.
It has really been fun anticipating a new baby in the family and we're enjoying sharing the news!

I think Baby G needs a sasster name? Any ideas? Summer Sasster since we're expecting in August?

I am SO excited. I can't wait for the shower. I recommend USA baby (on 105th and Metcalf) for a crib... that is where we got ours and I love it.
We are SO excited for everyone! Babies are wonderful. I can't wait for Gigi Jan and Papa Gene to find out fabulous grandparenting is! Counting down the days till August.
Jen, you were right. We found the perfect crib at USA Baby. Who knew they had such cool rocking chairs, too! What a fun place to shop. Thanks for the tip! Stay tuned for pics of Summer Sasster in his/her new crib!
I can't wait for Wednesday to see if SummerSasster is a she or a he! I will be perfectly happy with either one, babies are just great in general!
